A Seminar for Women Leaders and Managers

How do you rate yourself as leader and as a manager? What are some strategies for discerning your skills in each arena? This session will provide you with a chance to explore current leadership models and consider management principles and issues. Particular attention will be given to women’s issues in leadership and management. You will examine yourself within the context of your current position and explore the following questions:

• How can I increase my effectiveness within my current position and organizational role?

• How can I encourage and develop my unit or department to be
a thriving and contributing area within the organization or
institution whose members are purposeful, mission-driven and connected?

• How can I enhance my leadership and management capacities so that I can insure an organizational form designed to evoke commitment, hone the vision, and insure mutual outcomes?

• How can I map a clear focus for my job within the organization in order to realize identified priorities and goals using strategic planning principles?
